![]() ![]() We do have a Kreg Jig and love it, but for this little build, he just used his brad nailer and wood glue to attach the wood pieces together. For this project, Mark didn’t use a Kreg Jig like shown in the Shanty 2 Chic plans. I created a graphic that you can print and take to Lowe’s to pick up all of the wood that you need for this project. The rest of the shelves are all spaced equally. I want to mention that Mark gave the bottom shelf about an inch more space to hold some taller items that I had. I’ve been using them now for over a month and, so far, nothing has fallen out! And, the trim piece just tall enough that it holds everything in place when I close the doors. ![]() You can see in the above two photos, that the trim pieces were placed to line up with the bottom of each shelf! Mark put them low like this to make it easier to take things in and out. The other door holds more paint, glitters, hole punches, glues, glue guns, twine, and any other small supplies that would work well on the shelves! I’ve had those black chalkboard finish mugs for years! I got them at Michael’s on clearance and kept forgetting I had them because they weren’t in plain sight! Well, now they are, so you will be seeing me do something with these in the upcoming year! Specifically, I needed something like this to hold my many containers of craft paint! Yes, I have a LOT of craft paint! Mark built me two of these – one for each door. ![]() So, to save space in my office closet, which holds my craft supplies, I knew something like this would be perfect for those closet doors. I first saw this closet door spice rack on Pinterest by Shanty 2 Chic and showed the plans to Mark! He altered the plans slightly by using 0.25″ x 1.5″ x 22″ trim wood from Lowe’s instead of drilling holes and inserting dowel rods to hold the spices on the shelves and he used his pneumatic brad nailer to attach these trim pieces to the sides of the frame boards. As promised, I’m back today to share how Mark made the space saver storage shelves for my office/craft room closet! First, I want to show you the inspiration for this inside the closet door storage. ![]()
